Milk of Sorrow: Abused Women Depicted in an Award Winning Movie

The Milk of Sorrow is a 2009 Golden Bear award winning movie that was directed by a Peruvian director Claudia Llosa.   The film was also co-produced by Peru and Spain. The film emerged the winner of the 2009 Golden Bear award.
Apart from the Golden Bear,  the film won the FIPRESCI prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. This is stated in one essay paper and some essay paper writing projects. Apart from being slated for the 82nd Academy Awards in the category of the favorite foreign language film, the movie also topped the favorite movie award in the 24th Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara. This is in Mexico. It went ahead to receive accolade for being the pioneer of movies from Peru to be nominated for such an esteemed award.
Majority of the filming locations that are supposed to win the Bolden Bear are located in Manchay. Manchay is an impoverished domain somewhere around Pachacamac. This is in the South- Eastern side of Lima. The persistent explosions that rocked the area forced the inhabitants to take off from the area after being invaded. This was in the 80’s. They went into hiding in Cieneguilla which was a high class area. The movie received affirmative reviews, having an 80% certified "fresh" in Rotten Tomatoes and a significant consensus of: "Claudia Llosa's premeditated pace and conceptual storytelling may frustrate some viewers, but there is no denying about the visual pleasures soaking in The Milk of Sorrow.
